The New Orleans Citizen Diplomacy Council (NOCDC) is deeply saddened by the death of George Floyd and all Black lives lost to beliefs, behaviors, and practices that continue to be embedded in systems of racism.
NOCDC would like to affirm our commitment to social and racial equality in New Orleans, the United States, and around the world.   For 60 years NOCDC has played an intrinsic role in facilitating cross-cultural exchanges through the International Visitor Leadership Program, celebrating the great diversity of people everywhere.
Our mission is to promote programs that introduce leading changemakers to the people of Louisiana and offer them an opportunity to experience our valuable and unique culture. We strive to create partnerships between people of different races, cultures, religions, and languages in order to share ideas and experiences aimed at improving political, social, and economic challenges in Louisiana and abroad.
We encourage individuals to educate themselves on these issues to better understand the current movement and the actions needed to make positive changes. We will continue to serve as an illustration of the positive effects of global exchange and its ability to help close the divide of ethnicity, political affiliation, race, and religion.
Together we can all make a difference to affect positive changes.
